“Mr and Mrs Dursley, of number four, Privet Drive, were proud to say that they were perfectly normal, thank you very much. They were the last people you’d expect to be involved in anything strange or mysterious, because they just didn’t hold with such nonsense.”

I’m a HUGE Harry Potter fan. Like HUGE. I watch all of the Harry Potter films back to back and never get bored of them. Literally. So, when I found out that I got accepted to go and Study Abroad in England, I was thrilled. Not only because I was going to be travelling to England and exploring Oxford and London and other places but I had also heard about the famous Harry Potter Studio Tour!

The Harry Potter Studio Tour in London is basically a large studio with bits and bobs from the Harry Potter movie. You can ride the broom stick there, wear robes, try out the famous Butterbeer and do so much more! I didn’t get a photo of it (as I was too eager to try it out haha) but Butterbeer was amazingggg! It’s like creaming soda with this delicious creamy butterscotchy foam on top. It’s deeelicious and definitely a must do if you plan on heading to London!

This is the a model of Hogwarts! With the lighting and the intricate detailing, it truly looks surreal! (I’ve got more photos of the model below!)

And here’s a little (BLURRY) group pic of us standing in the great hall! Walking through the Great Hall made me think of all the different scenes from Harry Potter. The detailing through the Great Hall and all the other areas throughout this tour was just incredible.

The famous moving staircase and the talking paintings!

The Gryffindor common room! THE AMOUNT OF DETAILING IN THIS!! Everything is so intricate and it just all looks incredible!

I even got a sneaky pic on the famous 9 3/4 platform – do I look like I go to Hogwarts?! You can even hop on the Hogwarts Express and have a look around!

Hagrid’s Hut! How incredible does everything look!

The famous Diagon Ally entrance to Ministry of Magic

Mr and Mrs Dursley, of number four, Privet Drive, were proud to say that they were perfectly normal, thank you very much. We got to walk through the house!

Check out my Instagram where I posted a few pic from this day!

We also got to walk through Diagon Alley. It was increeeedible. It honestly felt like you were right there in the movie. The detailing, the lighting – everything was so intricate and looked surreal!

Honestly though, these models of Hogwarts and the surroundings are GOALS! There were so many different models and drawings and it’s every Architecture student’s dream.

This was a large scale model of Hogwarts! How incredible does this look!! The colour and the lighting definitely made everything look magical. I was also suuuuuper impressed with the intricate detailing on this model. It’s every archi student’s goals!

Aaaaand that’s the end of my surreal Harry Potter studio tour experience.

The whole tour was INCREDIBLE! It was super magical and literally felt like I was right in the movie! The detailing throughout the tour (of the characters and their homes and other things) was just amazing! If you are planning on going, I’d recommend checking WAAAAYY in advance (we booked a month in advance) for tickets as it sells out super fast. I would definitely recommend doing this tour if you’re a Harry Potter fan! Even if you’re not, it’s still pretty incredible to see.
