Hiiiiii everyone! I can’t believe it’s the last day of 2017! 2017 went by SO fast.
2017 was quite possibly the best year ever for me. At the start of the year, I hopped on a plane to go and study abroad in Oxford, England. I had never been overseas by myself and this was a massssive step for me. After spending 5 months studying and living in Oxford, travelling all over Europe and meeting and becoming friends with such wonderful people from all over the world, it’s safe to say those were the 5 best months yet.
I also had the amazing opportunity to work with some incredible brands in 2017. Estee Lauder & Lyst were one of them! And I’ve got even more lined up for 2018. I’m suuuuper excited to take my blog further in 2018.
So, here’s a summary of my 2017 (and I’m sorry if it’s a bit lengthy haha).

• • • • • • • • JANUARY • • • • • • • •
I hopped on the plane on the 21st of January to head over to London. 24 hours and a stopover in Singapore later, I finalllllly arrived in London Heathrow at 6am – (AND IT WAS FREEZING!). l then got on the coach to head over to Oxford where I went to my accomodation and was shown my room. I met my flatmates (I’ve never had flatmates before buuuuut can confirm they were probably the best flatmates EVER and I got so lucky to be put in a flat with them).
• • • • • • • • FEBRUARY • • • • • • • •
Since uni was in full swing, February was a bit quieter where we just had a good time exploring Oxford. In Feb, we went to see the Bodelain Library (such a beautiful building with such rich architecture anddddd for those Harry Potter fans, it’s where the ballroom scenes, the hospital scenes and the library scenes were filmed!). Check out my Oxford Through My Lens post to read up on this!
I alsooo experienced snow for the first time EVER! It was only a tad bit of snow but it was enough to make us all who hadn’t seen snow before super excited. We also went over to Stonehenge and Winchester which was incredible. We also travelled to Cambridge (very similar to Oxford!) and I also went to London for the first time ever (even though it was raining, it was a magical experience to see London and the Buckingham Palace for the first time ever!).
• • • • • • • • MARCH • • • • • • • •
Start of March was spent in Oxford where I got to have high tea for the first time ever! High tea is such a British thing and it was incredible. I also had my verrrry first wagamamas! Can confirm that both were incredible! We also made it out to Brighton and Cornwall (part one and two) with a stop at St Ives and the Eden Project on the way back to Oxford.
• • • • • • • • APRIL • • • • • • • •
April was definitely my busiest month yet. I was incredibly lucky and got to travel to London (again!), Ireland – Dublin and Belfast and also Scotland – Glasgow and Edinburgh. Edinburgh was probably the one of my favourite cities ever. It was suuuuper pretty and just so much to see and do (travel diary coming soon!).
And then, I also had the chance to go and explore Paris where we went to Disneyland (my first Disney experience EVER and it was incredible!). We also got to explore both Berlin and Amsterdam. Berlin was incredible – there’s so much history and the architecture was amazing to see. Amsterdam was such a pretty city. From cute canals to gorgeous row houses, every single spot in Amsterdam was picture perfect and definitely instagramable!
• • • • • • • • MAY • • • • • • • •
Can I just say May was a DREAM for me. Firstly, I got to go and tour Harry Potter Warner Brothers Studio Tour in London. On top of this, I also got to go to beautiful Switzerland – Geneva, Italy – both Rome & Palermo and also Spain – Barcelona.
• • • • • • • • JUNE • • • • • • • •
June was bittersweet. I was returning back to Brisbane on the 9th of June and got back into Oxford from my travels around Europe on the 27th of May. So, we decided to spend the last remaining days of June walking around and exploring Oxford again. Needless to say, Oxford was definitely one of my favourite cities ever. It’s a beautiful little college town with just an amazing vibe.

I just realised how long this post was so far (whoops) and decided to make my July – December recaps a tad smaller.
I got back into Brisbane around 11th of June and clearly wasn’t as adventurous as I was in Europe buuuut I did manage to go to Sydney twice (part 1 & part 2) – both were incredible! I also got to stay at the Q1 Resort and Spa at the Gold Coast and the views were breathtaking from there!
